Just wondering how these compare. I just put a Ripsaw in my wife's '99 Phazer 500. I also swapped out the 2 driver 9t axle for a mountain max 4 driver 8t axle. The new drivers are almost an inch less diameter than the ones I took out. I was mainly after a little more clearance for the 1.325" Gold Diggers and also wanted two extra drivers so the track wouldn't have to be so tight to free up some much needed hp. Just wondering if the smaller drivers are going to change anything noticeably or does this sled need to drop a tooth or two as well?

Smaller drivers is like dropping about 2.5 teeth on top plus give you a steeper track approach angle.

Thanks Turk. Guess I'll hold off on any gearing changes until the sled has actually been on the snow. It'll probably be fine. This is the first mod to this sled in 11 years and hopefully it will give the much needed improvement I'm looking for.
