Just wondering about some feedback on googles. I see Yamaha is selling 509 Goggles and I was wondering if
anyone uses these and would recommend them? Any other brand goggle recommendations?

I think they are the best goggles I have ever used. I have a pair of the sinisters that I have used that last few years and just bought a pair of the aviators for a backup pair. I would highly recommend them. They seal well, the yellow tint is like high definition, and the lenses are replaceable for $20 if they get all scratched up. Hard to beat.

I also have the 509 sinister goggles and think they perform very well. These paired with my klim f4 helmet and klim baclava, i rarely ever get cold and have never had any fogging issues. Polarized lenses for daytime riding are awesome!!

I love my sinisters, so much so that I ordered a second pair for this year as a back-up.

I have some Sinisters in perfect shape with 3 lenses including the polarized that may be willing to sell. I want the Aviators .

Wow, didn't expect such unanimous glowing reviews, Thanks gents! I guess I have found my next set of goggles!
Now....what are the best color lenses for Sunny days and the best for cloudy days? Would I be better off getting the new Aviators with wider views or stick with the more traditional Sinister version?

I agree with all of the above. I have been running that setup for the past three years. Only problem i have ever had was the top of the goggle vent freezing up. The key to success is a top of the line balaclava. If you have a good one than you are good to go.

Awesome goggles! The only problem i had was riding when it was snowing and back in the pack, i would get snow inside the lens. But other then that sweet. I have two pairs of the aviators and one sinister. Get the aviators hands down!! Range of vision is 10x better and i feel they seal better then the sinistors. Never cold, only my neck sometimes and that is my balacava and windy directing wind straight into my neck area.
As for lens, the lens that they come with work well for day ridding and not so great for night as they are mirror or yellow tint. I have a extra set of goggles with clear lens for night as changing lens sucks balls trail side.

Last season was my first year with an openface. I bought a 509 helmet and got the 509 Aviators. Both were to shelf. Always thought I would be cold but never had an issue.
I like the Aviators as they fill more of the face and have an awesome field of view. Buying 2 new lenses this year.

I use polarized lenses for bright sunny days and clear ones for night.

I love my sinisters, most the ppl I ride with wear them now. The best part about 509 is their customer service. Any issues or problems, broken frames or lenses just call them up and they will make it right with you, and often throw other little things like decals, emblems, and whatnot in to sweeten the deal. Best customer service experience I have ever had. Bought the blue mirror/blue tint because they were advertised to be the darkest lense for bright sunlight riding next to the polarized (polarized was just a bit pricey for me) and when I tried them was disappointed in that they didn't darken things at all (i believe because it was a manufactur defect and there was actually no tint at all). Needless to say long story short they just sent me a polarized lens at no charge and thanked me for my business and apologized for misrepresenting their lenses. I'll be a customer for life.

I purchased the 509 helmet and aviator goggles last year and absolutely loved the combo! They fit perfect together and keep the wind out. The wide range of visibility off the goggles is outstanding.
