Anyone using a roller secondary?

Definately get the Roller rooster from advant-edge. He is local & you could probably drive to his shop for set up & advice!

Dano...did you ever buy one?
Yes I did.....went to see Rick at his shop (advant-edgemotorsport) and he fixed me up with a great setup. He’s a great guy to talk with and will go out of his way to help. He’s also working on new stuff as we speak. Stop by his shop just north of Barrie when your in the area. He also has an RX-1 (turbo) and knows his stuff.
The roller roaster clutch mod is well worth it!

Roller Rooster, eh? Thanks for the tip! I'm looking at ditching the stock helix shoes (buttons, etc...) they keep breaking on me.

Anyone know the complete cost of the rooster clutch Price???? I was thinking about the Hyperlite complete bolt on clutch from Performance engineering the use cat helix set up and complete clutch depending on er or not,but sense yammi does not have e.r. to back up with dosent matter, and you can get an overdrive clutch,(bearcat) sheeves about 80 bucks more and the price is $427.00 now has anyone used the hyperlite??? 8)

Check link for pricing, http://www.advant-edgemotorsport.com/im ... hi_res.pdf

I’m sure there are many roller kits that work great, but this kit does not require any machining or anything. Simply remove spacer plate and buttons and bolt the roller kit to the clutch. Note, this is not just a cheap Arctic cat roller system with bushings. It uses a high quality steel on steel using needle bearings.
When I picked up my kit I was told he will have a new setup which allows you to adjust the sheave width without taking clutch apart and removing spacers. May be worth to look into.

Was interesting to watch some helixes getting built. I think I seen a secret helix design for a known clutch kit distributer.

My friend bought a roller and found it was 5 pounds heavier than a stock clutch. Thats alot of rotating mass. I dont remember the model but I will find out. Has anyone weighed theres to see if there is a big difference?

So race how did your friends sled pull after his roller was installed, back when i had my 03 rx1 i had the team set up and loved it,sense than i have one on my fusion with rev. and it sucks, but i have been interested in the hyperlite clutch,it is a complete bolt on,nothing needed, just pull your complete old secondary off and put this one on,and it is suppose to be lighter than stock, with outside belt adjuster built onto the cover.. For those people with poos who have installed this clutch they stated much more shift out, with better top speed, and much faster up shift and back shift, smoother all the way around, and its billet aluminum, finned for cooling, but i dont know anyone who has used one on any yammis, anyone????

How about those Pargon clutches? Any one try one of those?

I think his was a team clutch but I dont know I will find out. he says shift out is way smoother and keeps RPMS better but I dont think he is much faster. His 05 beats me but not by much at all plus he blew a weight out if it already and its supposed to be the new improved steel one.

I run a Hauck Magnum Roller. All else is stock. I can smoke a similarly studded RX1 with stock clutching. The Hauck roller has much faster upshifting and holds at peak rpm much more consistently. It also backshifts instantly but still cruises on the trails decent. 50 mph cruising on the trails turns 6000 rpm. Great fuel economy and nice performance. What more can you ask for? I should note, the MAgnum is not simple bolt on, it requires some machining. Just send the secondary in to Hauck and they'll fix you right up :~).
