I got one of these babies for x mas so I hooked it up today with the leave it wired on all the time wires ( if you know what I mean)
Anyway the book says( why do I read that ) that when charging the batt in the sled to disconnect the ground . Is this needed
I was hoping to leave that charging wire on ( I know I shouldn't have batt problems )
Also I hooked it into the remoted Pos wire since it would not fit under the batt cover right on the pos terminal This should be ok ???
Thanks
Ger

I think you'll be just fine. As long as you have a yellow light illuminated it means the battery is charging. Once it's green you're good to go. I LOVE this charger. My lightweight battery is way up in the nose now and I just put the red wire on the positive terminal on the battery and the negative I hook to the engine ground and all is well. That's a great Christmas gift. I was going to give them out this year as gifts too but my wife didn't think it was a very good idea. PB

BEST money I ever spent. On the sled all summer and on the bike all winter. I think the only time it's been turned off is when the power goes out. Hey GUKROKIT, where in CNY are you from? I'm in Marathon, maybe we've passed along the trail.
ger, just curious, did you ever get to the bottom of your engine light problem?

Got mine a few weeks ago. Had no problems hooking to the battery, with the cover still fitting with out having to do any mods. Ran the wire and conector right up to the remote battery connetions. Cable tied it right into the same wire holder. Works great never have to disconect the ground wire form the battery.

I have mine hooked up to the remote wires. charger works great. haven't tried it on any other batteries yet.
Jazz, mine would not fit with the fuse holder down the pos side of the batt case.
low flying missile..
I do not know , I took the printout off of here that gave me the info on the light flashes , I started it and it did not do it again???
I have since started it 2 more times and still nothing .
I have just charged my batt so I just hope it is gone now forever
