Hello :) This is my first post here but ive been reading alot and it looks like a good forum/community. Ive got a 2008 Apex LTX 150EFI. It was running great at the end of last winter it was even running well when i first started it this summer before maintenance about 2 weeks ago, i then went on to change the oil and all of the other maintenance cleaning the airbox etc, it ran out of fuel idleing after i had done that and wouldn't start it turned out the plugs were fouled up, we drove in and bought 4 new plugs put them in it fired right up. Now heres the problem, it idles for 15 minutes and as soon as it warms up it slowly dies out (idle goes down and down and down until its not running) and i think i had error 30 in the guages right before it died but it will warm up until the temp light comes on. Today i tried to run it again to see if the problem was still there yes sure enough it was but now it sounds like its misfiring, theres an odd sound comming out of the exhaust i dont know how to explain it it sounds bubbly sortof, when i rev it it seems to rev up properly though it just sounds odd and bogs a bit when i snap the throttle,

could this all be caused by the air filter not on properly? Its on there but im still trying to find out how to fit it back over the things that come out of the engine that the air filter goes into/fits over top of, and it wont fit on there yet but would that cause it to idle normally then idle out? Thanks

No oil pressure. That is code 30, I think, and that will disable the sled.
I would take a look at everything again. Are any of the connections loose? The oil pressure switch I believe is located between the fuel rail and airbox. I would look there to see if it has come loose?

Welcome aboard.

If you are letting it idle until it is overheating, it will stop running. But, it sounds like you are just idling it too much in warm conditions. I would stop the long idling. Once it reaches operating temp, it is time to shut the thing off.

If you are getting too much fuel, it could be the Throttle Position Sensor going intermittent causing the fuel system to go into limp mode. Limp mode will be very rich, which will eventually fowl the plugs. I would bet that clears up by itself after a few real miles riding. But, you might want to check and or clean it's connector.

Did you stabilize the fuel? or put in contaminated fuel? Contamination can cause an injector to stick open, which will also cause flooding. You will not believe how many people use metal gas cans. Never, never use a metal gas can. There is water in fuel. It settles to the bottom of the can. Then the can rusts and guess what eventually winds up in the injectors.
