I am replacing the bogeys on my 07 Apex. The dealer has the regular 23.00 ones that fit all the Yamahas but also has a 70.00 one that comes from Yamaha for that model. He can't seem to tell me the difference or what the justifies the higher price for one. Anybody got the answer?

ok question, read somewhere that you will need the updated axle to go along with the new updated wheels, is this true?

go to the link i posted above, you will see they are for 97-09s......the 2010 sleds have a 25mm axle, bearings and wheels
the spoked wheels have been around for approx 5 yrs as seen in my pic, they fit my 06 with 20mm axle.
just order the ones you need.....these are from accessory book while 2010s would be a stock idler wheel part number.

Snoprokidf6,,,
You do not need to update the axel for these. I replaced the four bogies and 2 rears on the weekend. Did it on my 08 Apex and 07 RS Rage GT. The bogies were simple just a wrench and impact gun and poof they were off. The rear ones were a pain in the arse as I loosened the track and then pulled the axel rod completely off and with another guy working on this it took us about 5 mins feeding the axel rod through the bushings and washers and aligning everything up. Even had to use a screwdriver to get in their to help get it all the way through. LOL.
Anyways about 30 mins later all six were done.

Just ran up against this today, too. My dealer informed me that the replacement wheels that go on the outside front of the skid are $70.00 each and I need all four. Seems insane to spend $300 for parts that were warranteed back in the spring of "08. Should I have to spend 300 every year to but what is obviously an inferior part? (Not an isolated incident as all 4 are junk and every other idler on the skid is fine) He said the other ones that are in the 20 dollar range have the same specs, but a little different style, are specifically noted in the catalog to NOT be used on the Mono skid. Anyone have any idea why?? Cause if it dosen't adversely affect the rest of the skid, I guess I would rather spend 100 every year than 300...

there is no difference - one is an accessory part number the other is an oem part number - they are the same.

Thanks guys...I noticed on the last post that a rear cooler was mentioned. I also have a 08 Vector 40th Anniversary that overheats in low snow conditions. Most of of my Vector friends have this same problem. Here in NE Wisconsin we do a lot of trail riding on groomed trails that sometimes can have less than ideal loose snow. Ideas on cures would be appreciated. If there is another thread going on this I would appreciate letting me know that...I did not find it. Thanks again.

Did they just bolt on, no screwin around?
What bearing is in them?
Thanks

They are more or less a direct bolt on...the 4 front ones are, but the rear inners mounts have to be machined in order for them to line up c/c of track cogs, they have "6205" bearings 15mm wide compared to stock "6005" bearings 12mm wide a difference of 3mm so you have to machine mounts 1.5mm in order for them to run c/c no big deal and well worth the effort! "6205" bearings tend to last longer and cheaper to buy...$3.00/ea and easy to find compared to "6005".
