WOW. Didn't know that this was such a big problem. Started reading Similar Threads, looks like it's been going on for years. Alot of FX Nytro posts with this problem too. Did not see anything about Vectors. I ride a 2007 Nytro (Vector based ). Have 10,000 miles on it. No breakage. Is there a history of bolt breakage with these, and I am just lucky ?
That is the same track I put on my Attak a few years back...works great except the small studs were hitting the rear optional add on heat exchanger on real bumpy trails. I ended up pulling all the studs out to stop any further damage.Ice Attack XT

I wouldn't say big problem, but happens occasionally.WOW. Didn't know that this was such a big problem. Started reading Similar Threads, looks like it's been going on for years. Have also seen it on a 2002 srx and 2000 700 deluxe.
I raised my rear ext about an inch to prevent stud damage. I like the little studs for stopping on the ice. That is the same track I put on my Attak a few years back...works great except the small studs were hitting the rear optional add on heat exchanger on real bumpy trails. The biggest issue is that when guys reassemble the chaincase they put the washer for that bolt on backwards and it ends up walking its way out and thru the chaincaseWOW. it has a lot to do with track tension as well. if you run your track on the looser side of spec, there seems to be less breakage. rock hits do not factor into this at all.WOW. I thought about doing that as well...did you build new brackets? An inch would have been all my sled needed to avoid stud contact.I raised my rear ext about an inch to prevent stud damage. I like the little studs for stopping on the ice.
My post with all the fun I had with studs and heat exchangers.
Installed a rear exchanger into my 07 Attak. Mocked it up but did not like how low it came down. Decided to do a little modding to see if it could be higher..
