APEX....ER or RTX ???

I'm thinking about picking up an Apex late this year or for next year, but I can't decide if I like the Blue ER or the Red RTX more. I've watched the videos on Yamaha's site, and it states that the RTX has a higher seat and Fox floats up front, but is it that much better for bumps ? I already have a blue R1 and a blue Kodiak, so a blue Apex would fit in well, I just wish the blue ER had the stiffer shocks and cooler looking windshield like on the RTX. I'm still waiting to see what's in store for 07, maybe that will solve the question. Still hard to decide between the two sleds, they're both so nice ! I will always be a Blue Yamaha fan, but I can't ignore the beauty of the RTX. I'm sure I could just buy the Fox floats and chrome ws for the ER. Someone post some pics to help me decide PLEASE !!!

The seats are the same, really theyre the same sled with the exception of color and graphics, windshield and the Fox Floats. I think the floats are a perfect fit on the Apex, its a blast to ride, can be set up plush and bottoming out is a thing of the past.

RTX is like $400 more, Floats went down to about $695.

You could sell stock ER springs/shocks in classified for $200-300 prolly.

I have seen the low chrome windshields here pretty cheap sometimes.

I dont remember if the RTX ended up with a firmer seat?????????

Id say you could do whatever color you want and come out about the same.

If you look at the specs the height difference is the TOTAL height, the difference is the windshield.

So, is there a difference in the seats between the ER and the RTX besides the color difference ? Thanks for the help too guys !

NO the sleds are the same except front shocks and colors.
