Anybody else had their reverse gear go south? Tried to back her into the garage yesterday, and the linkage half popped out, now she's back to the dealer. I guess they are taking apart the chaincase to look at the gears. Not typical of all the other Yammies I have had. Wondering if anybody else is having the same problem??????

Personally I drive my sled in the garage when there is no snow, the carbides bite so hard that there is undue stress on the chaincase.

Zed,
You win. "undue stress on the chaincase". Thats the best on I've heard on this site.

My 2003 RX1 and my new Apex ER both did it within 300 Miles, it is just a simple adjustment on the bottom lever of the reverse rod adjuster, take it back to your dealer. By the way I have 450 Miles on my Apex and love it

Zed,
I want to apoligize for my comment. I'm sure you had the best intentions, and I hope you don't stop posting.
I have gotten some nasty replys, and felt the same way you are feeling, but I'm still here. I try to inject a little humor sometimes, and it is taken the wrong way.
If you are a new poster, I hope we hear from you again.
Fogive me,

No prob Zedo, snow wasn't a problem, the dealer thinks the linkage was installed incorrectly. Lake effect machine is kicking it up and I'm ridin' the pine.

dealer fixed
Just a followup,
The reverse linkage was out of spec from the factory. The dealer adjusted it to spec and tested it. Then they pulled the chaincase and examined the gears to look for any damage. None found. Got her back last night. Snows comin' !!!!!!!!
