Apex GT EFI Throttle Hesitation?

actionjack said:
My sled definitely does not stumble not matter what rate the throttle is squeezed. I was told that starting it between rides and revving it to hear it could cause fouling plugs.
Mine is the same, it only stumbles when it's cold and that is after the coolant light goes over, but once it warms up, there is zero hesitation to it.

I rode mine for three hours and still lean popped when quickly snapped open at idle, even up to rpms less than 6k. I'm hoping others can check theirs and report back.

Did anyone else have this issue at first and then find that it went away after a few rides?

Did 60 miles - No hesitation what so ever. But take a while to preheat the exhaust, easy to tell only by the sound it make when cold. After one run or two, the sound is great.

Next, will be putting studs, then clutch kit #2 from Allen.

I love the search button.

Anyway, I noticed this with mine this past weekend too. I know it is brand new but I figured after 300 miles it would go away. It doesn't do it all the time but on occasion for sure. I think the high for the weekend was 12 so that could be a factor. I will try it again next weekend and see what happens.

i have 550mi on my rtx and when doing about 20mph and i open it right to the bar i have always had a bog. only for a second it bogs and then rips. my brother in law noticed it and he rides a doo. he said he doasnt like my sled because it has a bog.

Mine had that problem also.It started at a about 100miles,did not do it at first then went away after 350 miles.Has not come back.

Check cable streach also, I noticed this on my GT with 180mi. on it. The play was 5mm, too much and tors was activating just for a moment.
Just something else to check.

apex gt hesitation

gt with over 1200 miles, while riding in below zero temps experienced hesitation when accelerating from 30 to wide open. Seemed to feel lean but it's hard to say really. The only thing that I found is belt ride height in the secondary was a bit low, (origional belt).
Any one else experience this in very cold weather conditions?

My sled has never stumbled unless you guys are getting on it when it is really cold, in which, is a dumb thing to do.
