I own a 2006 Apex GT with the Electronic Olins shock.
I just received the most recent issue of SnowGoer and they
talk about the Yamaha engineers improving the Mono Shock on the
2008's as compared to the 2007's and 2006's.
O.K., What exactly did that do? and can these improvements be made
to the 2006 and 2007?

look around on this site and you will find much info on this topic. about ten topics down is one. Many people have done the revalve and heavier spring, to fix their 06-07s 08 got this treatment already. Pioneer performance did mine a couple weeks ago. There are other places that do this same thing. cost was 210 bucks, everyone claims it will be totally. good luck with your sled. Honk

Hello Ed. Thank you for your email. The Öhlins products on Yamaha sleds are an O.E.M collaboration between Yamaha Motor Co & Öhlins Sweden. We don’t have any specs on the 2008 product yet so it will be difficult to compare them to the 2007 product. In a few months we may have some information for you. Please write back. Thank you, Jerry
