Was riding my sled this weekend, seems the packing or something let go in the muffler. Not sure what muffler is on it, was some sort of aftermarket when a purchased it. Its always been loud but now its on the verge of annoying while riding. My question is what other sleds use the same muffler as a 2007 Apex GT? Trying to find something used to save some cash. Doesn't have to be stock just not crazy loud.
Any Apex or Attak from 06-10 will work.

Will the mountain work? The part numbers were different when I looked them up. Wasn't sure if they were longer or what was different?Any Apex or Attak from 06-10 will work.

09 and 10 have a extra support in them as well. You can always add one as well.

are you sure it's not a cracked pipe or bad exhaust gaskets?

haven't got it apart yet, all the pipes and gaskets were replaced 700 miles ago. only thing that wasn't was the muffler. Doesn't backfire.are you sure it's not a cracked pipe or bad exhaust gaskets?

Could still be a broken exhaust pipe, They are famous for breaking in the area of the Y pipe (the 2 >1) section. I think it was 2008 they came out with a support bracket there.

Got it pulled apart tonight, don't see anything wrong with the muffler or the y pipes. Guessing the packing is shot in the muffler. Time to find a quieter one, never thought I'd say that. Guess that's what happens when you get older. Lol

There is packing inside the tubes. I know this because when i opened mine up to do the swiss cheese mod.......which i truely love by the way........there was packing wrapping around my drill bit.
ricer68 first post states it some kind of aftermarket muffler. Until we know what system it is no one can say if it has packing or not. There is packing inside the tubes. I know this because when i opened mine up to do the swiss cheese mod.......which i truely love by the way........there was packing wrapping around my drill bit.
