Apex GT Showing Error Code 12 - Cranks but won't start

i have an apex 2006 gt. changed the exhaust y-pipe on the weekend and when i went to start it showed error code (12) It just cranked over and won,t start. any ideas? i don,t even know if this is related.

According to the error code sheet, number 12 is the "crankshaft position sensor", dealer will be able to tell you if that is an easy fix, ie relay or whatever, or maybe wire unplugged to the sensor. Good luck....Don

Fault code No. 12

Symptoms:

No normal signals are
received from the crankshaft
position sensor.

Possible Casues:

• Open or short circuit in wire harness.
• Defective crankshaft position sensor.
• Malfunction in pickup rotor (primary sheave drive shaft assembly).
• Malfunction in ECU.
• Improperly installed crankshaft position sensor.


Crankshaft position sensor resistance Spec :
336 ~ 504 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)
Wire Color Codes (Gray – Black) Should be only two wires in the connector.
