apex gt w/elect cont ohlins rear shock

There is a tech bulletin from Yamaha that was issued to the dealers. It covers re-routing the wirefrom the soleniod, to where it goes through the tunnel.

Basically doubling the first 3" of wire from the solenoid over itself (and taping the doubled up wire with electircal tape), then running it under the top of the shock body, then along the TOP of the front pivot arm, then up the FRONT side of the front pivot arm, then through the tunnel, making sure to run it through the cable strap that is riveted to the inside of the tunnel. Securing the cable to the front pivot arm with zip ties every 2 inches or so.

Maybe somebody has a copy of the bulletin to post? I think I have it, just have to find it, scan it, and post it up.

I have it.. just need his email. I put the routing and solenoid replacement into one doc and it is too large to post here.

Thanks vary much replacing sol and having shock rebuilt. hope to avoid having to buy another solinoid in the future. it pulled the wires out of the solinoid.

Yea, that's why I put them together in one doc. lol.. I emailed it to you. Just did mine in the offseason.

I pulled the rear sus from my uncles 06 GT and the wires had been severed, spliced them back together. I had to pop out the black plastic cap (solenoid?) to the shock, does that just get pushed back in tightly or should it be glued in?

Thanks.

Todd
