Wondering if the y pipe bracket can be replaced. What is the p/n? Both bolts refused to come out. Didn't know that it could be removed by taking the rivets out and ended up drilling the heads off the bolts to get the pipes off. Has anyone just cut the tabs off and use a bolt and washer to mount them. They are both rusted fairly bad and penetrating oil and heat won't loosen the stubs.
I did do one in a pinch with fender washers and bolts w lock nuts and it held for 2500 miles and if the guy would have checked and tightened them they would have lasted longer still but i told him to take it in and get it fixed right as soon as possible and he didnt do that either the result was cracked flanges on the y pipes at 2500 miles so in a pinch it works but needs to be fixed right in the off season.
