hi guys:

herer my issue.. 08ltxgt apex..all stock...this issue started late last season..when exhast donuts where bad..i thought the stalling would go away.after i changed my gaskets.no

idles lower than what it use too around 1000....if i grab a hand full of gas...most times will stall...i have to feather so it doesnt...thougt it was the idleing...so turned up..idle 3 turns...no change expect the idle went to 2 grand for the first run...back down a little now..i was thinking its plugs...as when idling...it kinda surges..i hear a slight hestation...i have 5500miles on sled....
also when it is in warm up mode...idles really low..i have to give it some fuel..to stay going...it use to start...idle hight then lower...i havent checked the cable free play..yet,,,but the slight fluxuation of engine leads me to plugs...never changed them...i know long..but i hope you can give some directon.. :4STroke: :rocks:

Try a can of Sea-Foam first and see what happens?
Could be a clogged injector from bad gas or something similar related?

I have a 07 apex that has not really had stalling issues but never was smooth ....so I tried a yamaha product call Ring Free, it came in a concentrated from, 12 or 16oz (cant remember) you only use 1 oz per 10 gallons! It says its to clean and remove carbon and engine deposits and also work on keeping fuel systems running perfect. This has made my sled run better than ever at idel and start-up. They say to use it all the time for this as well as protecting against the effects ethonal in todays fuel. This was only after two tanks of fuel and I could see the results. Yamaha has just come out with two new products , engine med and fuel med both in deluted form but I could not find them anywhere? these are along the same product line of the ring free product. I have tried alot of other stuff but nothing has worked like this product!

well update:

i can of seafom didnt work..trottle free play..2mil...didnt work....raised idleing didnt work...and on that subjuect...my idlle is all over the place...wwarmed up 2000/1600...sometimes around 1500...flick the trottle the right//wrong way...ildes right down to 900..and wants to quit....
cols idle will not idle high even before i reaised it...and i have to hold idle up myself until it warsms up or will quit...and it will quit it i flick trottle and not catch it...

im gettin fustratated..cause i dont want to tear into hear if its a simple fix

also no power lose...but engine loops (hear it in exhasut ) misses..on low idle..or slow trails...but NO NO heistation at all..in fact give her gas shes right there...i need help dont want to take her in i know they take there fkn time and snows only here ... :bling :die :die

My 05 Vector does the same thing! And I'am carbed. Maybe there is something to using ring free. I will have to try it. Frustrating is right. Used to run perfect. Dealerships cleaned the carbs and no change. That is why I am trying to fix it on my own now. Don't want to pay for carb cleanings when it is not the issue.
