Background- got bad stator error, in the process of changing. Before the stator problem I had a key problem.
The problem- turn the key to the on position and it just starts turning over until I turn it to the off position. I bought a new one and installed, but it is doing the same thing. I turn it to the on position, not the starting position, and it continues to turn over.
Not sure if it has something to do with the stator problem or not.
Any help would be great.

Sounds like you have a starter problem.
