Went riding today for the first time ever on my new boosted apex.. guy i bought it from said it was setup for cookecity.. I was riding at arond 5,000 ft. today.. Anyways
1: Sled would only run out till like 9,300-9,900 rpms as soon as it got in this range it wouldn't pull anymore and made a funny blubber noise. a/f gauge was reading 11.4 idle 12.4 cruising and 13.1 wot until it hit the rpms, I would let off the throttle, the second i left off a/f would read like 16.1 for a split second then drop back down to 11-12... Could it be the fuel mapping?.. I burned about a 1/2 tank in around 28-30 miles?
2: I bought the Cr racing air intake kit, thought I had that hoseclamp on really tight around the filter.. we stopped about 2 miles before we got back to the trailor and it was still on.. Got back too the trailor and gone.. Looked for 2 hours till it got dark.. couldnt fit it, probably rolled into the creek along the trail.. Dont really feel like spending the that much money again to just get the filter.. What is the part # for the really big K&N..
3: I'm not sure what boost gauge is on the sled, it was on there when I bought it from chubby.. However its black and digital (red numbers).. At ideal it would read like 10-13 lbs. cruising down the trail it would read like 2-3.. and at wide open it would flash and read 0.1?.. anybody seen this problem.. faulty gauge?.. dont really know for sure..
Help please.. Have a trip planned for next weekend.. and would like to get this fixed.. thanks rocky

I called the guy I bought the sled from I think he is chubby on this forum too... he said it may be a fouled plug combined with too much clutch weight..
went to pull the plugs tonight however i dont have the yamaha tools... got all the coils off just scared to use a normally spark plug wrech to take them out

so hammer whats wrong with my sled?
Heck I don't know ... don't know enough about the sled ... troubleshooting is much easier when the sled is right in front of you ... you just have to check the basics and start eliminating things ... blubber is usually too much fuel ... but with the WOT AFR of 13:1 ... it doesn't make sense ... ignition will cause miss fires not blubber ... too much weight for boost/hp is unlikely because that wouldn't cause a blubber ... it just wouldn't pull the weight ... fouled plug maybe ... inputs to fuel controller ... if there is a boost leak to the controller it will not see the correct manifold air pressure and that could possibly explain the 13:1 at WOT ... a boost leak (intercooler, intake manifolds, hoses, piping) would also keep you from pulling full rpm ... might want to check the compression while you got the plugs out and check for excesive oil coming from the crank case breather too.

All the plugs looked good.. coco brown color one plug had just a little bit of white on it.. but very minimal...
Going to try and find a mechanical gauge and hook it up to see if my digital one is faulty or if i'm not making boost.. There is a small 3 inch hose coming out of the middle of my intercooler on the back side right above the injectors.. it is plugged off now.. is this where I would hook a mechanical gauge into??
Help?? This sled is starting to discourage me on my decision to go 4 stroke this season
Does anybody know anybody around my location that knows there stuff on these sleds.. would love to have somebody sit me down and go through it so I can learn more.. thanks rocky

Allen Ulmer is in Menno, SD (just outside Sioux Falls). Not sure how close that is to you, but Allen knows his way around a sled.
