Here's the Canadian link to YAM mirrors are they the ones your looking for...your dealer can sometimes use US part #'s just give him the part # and he can check on his computer and see if its available to him.

well my question is if you can put either one of those mirrors on w/ hand guards and have enough room to mount them on the 06' handle bars. the dealer keeps telling me to put the 07' bars i have on and it wont be an issue lol.
I have them on my 07 RTX. Best mirrors I've had on a sled. I ride a V-Max motorcycle and these mirrors give the same rear view. Nice not to have to glance down at some cab mounted mirror to see who's behind me. These are just like bike mirrors.

These are similar to the Polaris mirrors. I have the Yami mirrors on mine with hand gards hand gauntlets. When I got mine they went directly on the bars. Don't know what those extensions shown are. Didn't come with mine. My mirrors have to be set inboard as far as possible, this causes a little interference with my body, so have to lean away from the mirror of choice slightly not to have an obstructed view.
I have mounted the mirrors (SMA-8FTHB-MR-00) on my Nytro's hand guards - if you look at the picture the bracket & longer replacement bolts are made to mount on the Yamaha handguard bracket and not on the handlebar. I tried the mirror with brackets that mount to the handlebar (SMA-MIROR-00-KT) on my 06 Apex, and found there is not enough room to fit with the PowerMadd hand guards. - note the mirrors that mount on the hand guard (SMA-8FTHB-MR-00) I believe are specific and will fit only on the handguard brackets from Yamaha.
While the mirrors may not be "stylish" they sure as heck are very functional!

Nice Rumble and cgwiz - Yamaha has a kit specific for mounting mirrors onto the Nytro style handguards (p/n 8GL-W2628-00-00). This is the same mirrors used in the SMA-8FTHB-MR-00 kit made for the Apex models just without the brackets. My recommendation for Apex owners is that if you are looking to add handguards and mirrors both to an Apex buy the Nytro Mirror kit and the factory handguard mounts and handguards directly off a Nytro. Here's some photos and links to these kits on our website. Note: The Nytro Mirror Kit will also work on some of the newer model Phazer and Apex RTX models that come from the factory with FX Nytro Style Handguards.

Kevin, that's the same setup I have on My Nytro XTX they are very functional! I could not mount the handlebar mounted kit (SMA-MIROR-00-KT) on my 06 Apex GT because of the PowerMadd handguards already on the sled & not enough room.
