How stable is the apex compared to the phazer. Does it have a lower CG. I have a phazer mtn now and hate how tippy it is. I want something when it does tip it lays more on its side than its handle bars kind of like a bravo does. I want more HP and I dont want to stick any more money into the phazer. my first motor blew up in less than 1000 miles and it was stock and dont trust that motor with mods anymore. I know the apex weighs more and thats fine with me, im going to add new suspension and a few other things to it. Any info would be great.
Thanks,
Jared

It likes its side but can be a bear to get it their. I fine that my 08 works alot better with a two wheel rear axle. I put a super charger on it to help with long pulls in deep snow, and to help pull the front back up after letting off the gas.

That works for me, i dont plan on keeping it on its side but when i do wanna carve i want something that wont tip on top of me. i dont weigh or have the enough strength to stop the phazer from tipping over. Is there much of a difference between a 06 and an 08? what brand of super charger? i might get one for it sometime. have you had and problems with it?

I think the biggest was the adding of Fox Floats, I have a MPI system. The only iusse I had was a fuel pump iusse when low on gas. Tom Hartmann help me fine a fix. And the normal things for the apex(bushings, bearings, etc...)

Ok, i just wasnt sure if they made any big changes in them or not. But thats good it was only a few minor things and shocks. i plan on putting a barkbuster frontend and timbersled skid. Ok nothing to major on the SC. Is it a stage one? Did you have to do any internal engine mods to it?

Stage one runs on pump gas, nothing for the motor.
I have both sleds in the mountain versions. The Phazer is much easier to ride. Widen the skis, let the
shocks down and tighten the strap a notch. The extra
100 lbs on the Apex always lets you know it's there
imho.

I have tried all of that except widening the skis and didnt see much difference. i'll give it a try. I plan on adding new stuff to drop the weight close to a phazer, if i get an apex.

I didnt put this before because i figured their the same. But how does the Phazer compare to the Nytro. Does the Nytro has the same CG as the phazer.

What was this "Fix" are you on stock fuel pump or aftermarket?
If you are use to the phazer and do alot of offtrail the apex is going to wear you out.I would look at a nytro mtx over an apex mtx.
I have had both and no longer have the apex mtx I actually owned two of them.
Even with a lot of light weight parts they still get to you if your into hardcore boondocking. If its trail riding or messing around there fine.

Well i ride alot of logging roads and some trails. not much through the trees. The biggest thing im looking for is something more stable than the phazer and more HP.
The apex is way more stable,
Here's the perfect sled for you

first 4 stroke was a phazer mtn. owned it for one week and traded for the apex mtn. that phazer was crap. we dont have much for trails around here and in a stubble field a 600 summit would walk by me even with a headstart. just not enough power to float and the 14" track didnt help either. Trail sleds is all they are imo. the fact anyone would use them in deep snow is laughable. with a turbo, now thats a different story
