is the apex fast? ,ike wicked or just like any typical 1000cc
Well I don't know what a typical 1000 cc is but it is completely diff than a 2 stroke 1000 and I have been on Skidoos 1200 4 stroke and not in the same ballpark.
With the proper gearing and overdrive clutches mine went through radar at just over 131 mph but had to give up a bit on the hole shot to do it. When it is set up for 500 ft lake runs on ice with a stock track and 196 oicks I can get 106 mph and the only loss was to a turbo apex with almost 300 hp and it freight trained me in the last 50 ft.
I have a Bender SX 700 grass drag sled I converted back to snow and it is quick out to 90 mph but then dies down still picking up speed. The RX and Apex launch and carry the skies out to about 90 and just keeps a linear acceleration up to about 111 mph (radar) 124 ish speedometer. All my buddies that haven't converted to Yamaha ride polaris, cat and skidoo refuse to even line up even for fun on the lakes because they end up eating ice chunks.

haha thats great. i am certain i will buy this sled if he will go lower. i love the blacked out look. so its not in the smae ball park as the 1200 as in slower or faster? how about handling with the way this track is set up will it be to aggressive for my tight cornering and twisting? i kind of like the way myt sxr is loose in the rear end around corners. the "drift" feel so to speak
no the 1200 ski dont is slower and the Apex handles like it is on rails. The old skid srx was fast strait line but not a cornering machine you'll be impressed.

i am waiting on a response. he said 5900 but i cant do more than 5700 with him delivering it or 5500 with me picking it up

he said 5800 he will meet halfway and only stock skis not c&a skis. i said lets just fo 5900 an meet at border with the skis.

i hope this is a GRRRRRREAT DEAL because it is def more than i want to spend. i was hoping to be aroun 4500 and get a stock 06 apex

After your first few trips you will forget what you paid. Seriously they are awesome. There are a lot of people on here that got bored with them because there was no more upgrades to make them better they were perfect! LOL That is where I am, supercharged, suspension, handling, reliability and looks that could kill. I just cant see anything else offering this for this price.
As far as fast they take a little set up like yamdog did and yes they are faster then sleds with more hp. The 4 cyl have loooong legs and seem to never run out. Although the most fun is 30-90mph start doing shoulder exercises mine always hurt after the 1st 3 rides of the year, god these things pull.
I am addicted to sledding as bad as I am because of that 4cyl engine!
