Looking at a 2008 vector. I have a 2003 viper 136" track machine.
Rode a 2007 artic cat jag ZL 1000. Rear suspension is like a couch. Ride is amazing. Wish i could put that skid in the viper. How does the vector ride? How does it compare to the Apex GT? Looking to up grade to a 4 stroke this year. Can't decide betwen the apex and vector. Do 70% trail 30 % lake running. Please help !
Thanks Werner

Hey Werner. This is yox185 I sold you the e. start and rev. for the Viper last year. Welcome to the 4stroke side. I went 4stroke this year too, Nytro XTX and RX1 for my wife. My buddy has a Apex and a Vector. The suspensions are pretty much the same in the newer ones, both seem to ride great. If you are in to speed on the lakes go with the Apex, it is a beast. Either way you will love the 4stroke motor feel, makes me grin every time I pin it.

Good to hear from you. Electric start and reverse work great. Can't believe i never had reverse on a machine for so many years. Its so nice to back off the trailer instead of dragging it off.
Wa spretty impressed with the 4 strokes. My boss has a 2003 rx1. when we fill up if I put in 38 litres he uses 24 liters. Lots of torque. Looking for the best couch ride. Couldn't believe the suspension on ths Kitty CAt. It was amazing ebven if it was a cat. Was looking at th Vector. My dealer has one that he put a widening kit on a mc xpress turbo. 210 hp. Drive it any where on 91 octane. So i was thinking vector first year and if I get bored with the power i can turb it next year.
Hopfully i will find a good deal over the summer in the USA and go for a drive.
Talk to you soon
Cheers Werner

Ride an Apex, worth the money over a Vector. Outpowers the Rx1 (a good machine) by a MILE. Rides like a Caddy. The Apex ER rides the best, but if you are into more sport riding on rough trails, the GT is the way to go, but it rides stiffer on all trails. Nobody can keep up with this beast on a stock sled, except maybe that Z1 Cat. Wig
