apex replacement

so it sounds like the supertrax article has the new engine as a 4cyl, and from chris at sled talk it sounds like the cross plane isnt coming.
Now that leaves the 04-06 R1 engine. What was used between 06 and the crossplane design? anybody know any specs, (hp and size dimensions)
Hopefully it will have more than the 150 now.
How much did they detune the apex engine?

Watching the stock vs yamacharger video, a apex with ram air , pc3 , plugs & clutch kit would be within a sled length of the yamacharger , i would like to see a video from the side, for a better look

It looks like it only beat it about 3 or 4 lenths! If I was going to be spending 2k I would hope for more than that. You can get that out of a clutch kit. I got way more than that out of Ulmers clutch kit,airbox,PCIII and ign. When you line up a bunch of apexes running start or not it's not even a race there is so many lenths between them......lol.

That what i was saying, I have raced stock apexs and beat them by that much, It Just makes you wounder how close it would be

Actually it's better then I thought it would be.....I got to run it down the lake last weekend and I still saw 120 and a flash of 121. So i am still really happy with that......I'm not to much of a top end runner I like to get up to 100 and fast.
