I tore apart the sled this weekend. The muffler is cracked in several spots at the merge. Im going to bring it to a welder and let them figure out how to fix it. Should I have them weld reinforcement metal as well? Should I be concerned about stud clearance with the extra metal?
Has anyone had the welds last for a while? I don't really want to drop $500 on a new muffler but also don't want this to happen again out in the middle of nowhere. Also, how should I know if the 2 muffler gaskets need to be replaced?
I appreciate the feedback!

You should be able to pick up a good use muffler for about a $150.
