So I am apauled to find out the shocks I have are 1 inch longer than stock for an apex. we were up in Hurley for a wek long trip when sudenly and unexpectedly one rider in our group had a broken shock snaped off at the eye so we limped her back to the condo and called around and Minocqua Yamaha told us we were in luck he just striped down a sled for parts that had a blown motor at only 800 miles from loss of coolant. so we ran over bought them (for a real good price) put them on and rode the last part of the week. well same guy wrecked the rear end of his sled on an ice heave before the week was over. yes bad week or riding for him (says it was still better than working) the ins company paid good money for the sled so we let them have it with the broke shocks and i kept the gytr clicker shocks I thought they might be better then the stock ones on my xtx so i tried them on there and I didnt like them so they sat on the shelf in the garage for 2 years only having about 1000 miles on them. I seen a member in the want ads looking for shocks and told him about mine and we agreed on a price so i sent him some pictures so he could see what he was getting and that is when i find out that they are 1 inch too long for an apex and if that is the case what did they come off from and is that why my xtx would rail better with the stock shocks? it would be nice to know what they are for so I can maybe find someone who needs them.

yes this is the same situation I just dont know what they will fit properly then I swear they came off a vector which is the same chassis as the apex but they do measure 17.5 eye to eye.

anyone have a need for 17.5 eye to eye gytr shocks with around 1000 miles in great shape?
