apex shut off

That makes perfect sense as it explains why you can re-start the sled immediately after the high temp shut down. You then have three more minutes to do something (ride in some snow) to get the temperature down.

I am also fairly certain that the high temp shut down will only occur when the sled is idling and will not protect you when riding. When riding they expect the operator to take appropriate measures when the high temp warning light comes on.

I agree you have to be riding. I was making adjustments with my PCIII and Ignition Module. I was running up the the RPM's for a while after making adjustments to see the results, but the track wasn't moving. I am thinking that if there has been no activity on the speedo for 3 min’s and the temp. reaches 212ºF then the sled shuts off.

that does make sense as my fan was already on when it shut off. so if it hadnt of beenhot enough to start the fan it would have ran longer im sure. at least i know it didnt hurt anything and that is the main thing for myself.
