Wow, I knew it made the disposal smell nice, now a corrosion etcher. I definitely should never drink the stuff again.

You can also remove the large upper guide wheels by taking off the circlip that holds the bearing in place. then the wheels tap off easy. Then use a 3 jaw puller and pull the bearing off the axle.
They ARE pressed on.

Almost exactly one month after tear down, the skid is ready to go back into my Apex.
Brian did a great job with this. I had the three main parts done in Silver with Translucent Red as recommended, then the rails done in Black. This skid is far better than new!

Dang dude, you really brought back memories of my skid. Looked just like that before and after. Was that gloss black on the rails or a flat finnish? Mine was gloss. Halfbaked does the best work, you cant go wrong with those guys. Seeing that little vid makes me want to tear something apart just to have them powdercoat something! Looks great!!!

Since my tunnel is black, the gloss black I thought would look better. Flat is cool, but would not have looked good against that tunnel.
They do a very good job. Sort of spendy, but with all the extra welding, it was way more than a powder coat job

Working on that tonight. Without a second set of hands, it may be a task and a half lining up the holes.

That was a bit of a task getting this animal installed by myself. I'm sure glad my wife and then my buddy were able to give a hand when needed.
I did the EC shock wire update and all is good. This sled has been on the stand for a month, so now it's time for spring cleaning before putting it to bed.

I was thinking about that. I saw some Yamaha OEM flaps on Ebay that were blank. No Yamaha logo.
My wife does a ton of outdoor vinyl. Would anyone be interested in a flap with their nickname, logo or Totallyamaha on it?
