other than taking out the bolts on the tunnel and loosening the track what else needs to be done to slide the skid out on an apex gt. Does the strap need to be loosened up or any suspensions parts loosened up etc?

Everything you need should be right here, just loosen off your track first.

You'll need to unplug the shock wire on a GT. Connector is located approx. at the top of radiator along the frame. Just follow the wire from the shock back up until you find the connecote plug, unplug it and carefully pull it down through the grommet on the side of the tunnel.

Unplug the EC shock wire, loosen track, Set sled on the ground and remove the bolt that mounts the transfer rod, the easiest way i found to do this is to lay across the seat to squat the suspension some and reach under the sled and slide the bolt out. It can be reinstalled the same way or sit on it and have a friend help you. Removing the transfer rod bolt is key to removal and installation of this skid and will make it one of the easiest skid's to work with. Then remove the mount bolt's and pull it out. Good luck. kviper
