My GT has 540 miles and I have replaced 8 wheels after 300 miles now. I installed SRX wheels on 2 front sets and 05 RX-1 wheels on the back set. After 240 hard miles, they look like new. No extra noise and slides will still wear. If marginal conditions just keep an eye on them.
I just ordered new gloves from a company that has rechargable batterypacks, 6 hours at 60 degrees and cost 99.00. They are shipping today empire glove saw these in a magazine and i hope they work as i love my low windshield.
I was up north last weekend on little st. germain lake and everyone was impressed with the GT. I ran all types of sleds most very modified and spoiled a lot of days for bigger sleds. My GT has run 140 on dream meter on ice groove approx 1/2 mile. This was on Rib Lake WI, and I was full gas and me driving at 210#. This sled pulls like a freight train. I will report after I try these gloves. The wheel issue is fixed if you do this. You will need slightly longer bolts for the front wheels for nylock to grip. Good luck to all.

Im surprised you changed out the wheels when the dealer would replace them for free under warranty because yamaha knows there was a bad batch or two of these wheels!
i use chemical heaters in my gloves and will continue using them until yamaha comes out with the heater fix next spring!

dealer did cover these under warranty, beat 05 and 06 mach z 1000s, all f7s, killed fusion 900s, many f8 ,f9 , modified sleds of all brands, couldnt beat

Well i believe if you were going 140 dreameter you were running around 122-125 and if you had gps to varify that speedo it would be reading 122 or better,now that is hard to believe for a bone stocker sense alot of guys including nos pro and mr. sled both ran stockers at 116.7 and 118 one gt one attak and the ones to run better than 120 were lowered and running smaller lug tracks,but if it was running that on gps i sure would be happy,for you and all of us apex/attak owners,now so you dont think i am calling you on this,i have heard of stock rx1s running 140 speedo before,but they never had radared or gpsed them,so it is possible there speedos were off by as much as 20 mph,and even if your was too,that is still great to hear,cause we all know once and a while someone somwhere gets the really fast one!!!!!swiftone said:

Woody radared at 126 = 143 on the DM....But his Attak has a blower..I find it hard to see a stocker doing those kind of speeds 8) 8)
