Can the starter be rebuilt?
Had mine not start twice just click.
Hit the starter while turning key and started right up.
I know it needs attention
Do i need to replace it or rebuild it?
Thanks

there's a post on general going now about starters all i can say is it's going stick on and you better not be alone, you can use a rope but it's a booger.

Yeah, no she's headed for a massage monday at my Awesome(I mean that)
Dealer here.
Just got back from a1200 mile loop and two times in the last two days of the trip i had to have my riding buddy turn the key while i hit the starter with a pair of pliers. small tap barely a nudge both times and fired right up.
Keep in mind my sled is a 2008 with 30000 KM all Quebec. All me.
Have not changed or serviced the starter ever so was wondering if it can be rebuilt cause I believe new one is $400 i think.
But i hear ya on trying to pull it with a rope, yeah no thanks for that.
Pull it to a road with a rope yes.
