None, looking now!
Anyone get the new tank Bag yet? I'm curious if it looks like the one I have on my '00 with the de-tachable map/hat bag.

The tank bags actually just became available today. I was gonna post about them and try to take some pictures as I believe they are the coolest tank bags Yamaha has made to date. They do have the detachable tank bag but they also have some cool carbon fiber looking panels on them and have some padded material on the back to help from scratching the tank on the sides. The bag is not as big as the style they made for the RX-1 but I think that is a good thing as most people complain that those took up too much of the front of the seat and made getting up on the tank hard to do. The new detachable bag portion fits nicely on the tank and doesn't interfere with the rider much at all and has a see through map pocket on the top so you can look at the map inside the bag without removing it. The bra portion of the cover also has two decent sized side pockets on it. I will try to get some pictures. Another item that recently came in is the windshield bags. They don't have much room on the RTX and GT for them but I think they should work nicely on the ER and Attak style windshields or on any sled without the stock style RTX or GT style windshield.

Thanks, sounds great. I have always had to have some type of bag and don't want the saddlbag style. Thanks for the info, I'll keep a look out for pics.

I've always had a tank bag on my Cats, but I don't know if I could cover up the beautiful tank on those Yammi's. It almost seems like a sin. Not sure what I would do on mine, maybe consider some type of saddle bags, and hang a thin map-holder from the handlebars.

Does the bag require any drilling? how do they mount/install? Do they flip up to allow gas cap access?

Thanks, HH

No drilling required. They slide around the gas cap filler neck and then velcro underneath both front side panels and then have a big strip of velcro to the tunnel on both sides. The center (detachable) bag has two strips of velcro at the top and one at the bottom to attach it to the semi-permanant tank bra if you need to completely remove it due to having valuables inside or if you want to bring your map in when you are stopping somewhere. If you just undue the velcro on the bottom of the center bag you can flip it up to fill the gas tank. We currently have these in stock if anyone needs one.

The back side has a felt material also. This will not mark up the paint on the tank. It is a nice set up.
