Hey everybody,
I just got my sled back from the shop a couple weeks ago, 08 Apex MTX Turbo, and now that we are finally getting some snow, tonight was the first time I was able to test things out. Anyways, here's what I'm dealing with:
It's a closed loop tether kill, when my sled is running and I pull the tether off, the sled doesn't shut down. So looking at the wiring, I tried unplugging the plugs as well for the tether while the sled is running and it still doesn't shut down.
Now here's the interesting part, when I have the tether pulled off with the sled not running and I turn the key to start it, I have power but it won't start. Looking at it, it is running in series with the brown/white wire.
Did the guy from the shop just tie the tether in to the starter? Should I try and move it to just the brown wire?
I really want this working, after spending as much as I have on this thing, I want a little insurance in case it gets away from me ya know?? lol

Thanks for the help.

Having problem with mine also. My dealer said that you splice into the brown wire with white stripe. How's your ground? I think mine is just toast.

I dont' think there is an issue with ground, as it is just a series hookup and everything is properly insulated. I might pull the tape and see what's going on under it.

What is the brown wire on the 08 apex? My starter has 4, 1 red/white, 1 red, 1 brown, and 1 brown/white

Mine had spliced into the brown/white wire.

Well, I figured it out. Found a wiring diagram and found that the brown with white wire is just the wire to the starter, so that's why I wouldn't lose power. I switched it to the brown wire, and it works great. Now I don't have to worry about having a turbocharged monster running off without me...lol

Just make sure that doesn't happen before we hit McBride!

yeah, we'll have to see what 15lbs of turbo does compared to 12lbs of super!!! :tg:
