apex/vector shocks on a nytro?

Hey guys I'm looking to get some fox floats for my 09 nytro XTX and was wondering if the slightly shorter shocks off an apex/vector would work with my sled? I realize I would lose an inch of travel but would the shocks not work at all?

No one's tried this at all? Well that's to bad, looks like I might have to be the first!

yep.... they will work but, you will lose more suspension than the shock length due to the way the shock is mounted in relation to front suspension arms (your suspension travel is different than shock stroke).
