TBay Sledhead said:Did u determine which is the fuel pump relay? If u did take one of the other relays that have 4 terminals and interchange it with the fuel pump relay. The relay with 5 terminals is 4 the headlight Hi/Low, one is 4 the radiator fan and the other is the starter relay. Try that.
When I turn on the ignition relay clicks and fuel pump runs for a few seconds, when you crank it it won't fire !

DONT change them yet,. I had this same problem twice. Let it sit for 30 min or so. Try and heat the block ( hair dryer will work) Then crank it over while slowly incresing the Trottle.. I know it sounds dumb but took me forever to find help on it. I figured it would just flood it etc.. But after i got to about half way of slowly pushing it it started to fire more n more n more untill it finally kicked and sputterd a bit then took off normal again. Ive gone trew this twice now same exact problem.

I had this happen to me at -31" F. It started immediately and then died. As I turned it over it acted like it wanted to start but just would not fire. I did not want to change the plugs outside when it was that cold. I simply held the throttle wide open and it finally started. It happened the next day at about the same temperature only this time I immediately held the throttle wide open and it started. I posted earlier about this problem and thought that it was dumping too much fuel for that temperature.

Have you run any Isopropel in it, I put some in several times a season. A must in my opinion.

I'm sure it varies from area to area, but in Minnesota, virtually ALL 87 octane is 10% ethanol. Adding more alcohol would be both unnecessary and unwise.
