New to me 2016 XTX 1.75 low milage sled, only shows 145kmph flat out hard pack for a mile. Normal? Only note is it maxes out shift rpm of 10,100.

it will go higher. that is under rev big time. should be around 10,500-10,600 rpm. i got agman's 2018 apex xtx up to 97 mph indicated when i was helping him break it in. with the custom low end clutching i run, viper_dave got my 16 xtx up to 160 kph (100mph) at the last ty ride.

They have smaller drivers up front due to the taller track. Last year I swapped out the drivers on a 2018 to one larger and we put the Storm track on which is 1.5 in the middle.(not a fan of that track)
We were north of Cochrane in March and the sleds best speed was 108 GPS in good conditions.
All else stock.

the 18 xtx only came with the backcountry.

At least your speedometer is some what accurate...with that track and sled all stock, you will have a hard time hitting over 160kmph on the GPS even on ice.

U won't get over 100mph out of it GPS with the small 7 tooth drivers.
I think you are right, both clutches fully shifted out by witness marks. Run out of gearing - Maybe if I get my rpm's up another 4-500 might get a little more out of it.

Update: Dialed in the clutches to shift @ 10,600 pulls 159kph gps now. Still had some overrev rpm's climbing so it still has a bit more.

that sounds more like it.
