I am trying to mount some marginal small wheels to my Apex XTX skid.

I want to mount the wheels between the rubber bump stop and rear pivot point...right where the slide wear is the worst.......

The Apex XTX has a rail doubler on the outboard aspect of the rails right in this area.....the Nytro XTX appears not to have a doubler??

The doubler prevents mounting the small wheel blocks as the doubler is too thick and the blocks can't locate on the rail ridge as well are too far outboard???

I would like to mount them inboard of the rails but they seem to be a bit too far inboard when mounted here and don't ride in the track lugs properly??

I have seen some reference when searching about machining the spacers or blocks to make the fit inboard work??

The oem Yamaha wheel kit doesn't make any mention of the rail doubler...and doesn't offer any instructions on mounting them inboard??

What gives Apex XTX owners??

I have a nearly new stock 2013 Apex XTX.

Thanks

I wouldn't put the small ones there. Put on the Dupont 144 hyfax, Excel or other slightly larger wheels than stock on the rails, front and back, and put the little ones up front at the curve, if at all and call it a day...no issues since.

What I did on my 15 xtx is I put 135mm (slightly larger ) wheel where the rail tips up at rear and moved the stock wheel to just behind the spring bracket on the rail which equals an extra set of wheels and also put on DuPont slides. This setup works excellent!
