apex XTX nose cone bag

Yamaha lists that the nose cone type bag will fit in 2006 to 2011 apex XTX. Anyone with 2011 have any issues with air flow or heat with one? NEED more storage & can't see where can a rear bag will work with the exhaust unless add to turn outs?

Have used a nose bag in 07,09 Apex's with no issues.

Buddy has been riding all season with a nose bag in his 2011 XTX with no ill effects.
Mind you try not to over fill it.

I have an 06 Apex with Nose bag - works great. However my '11 Apex deosn't have the same room up front. I was told by Yamaha that there is NOT a bag that will properly fit the '11 (perhaps you can try to push the old bag into the new machine but its not designed for that) - good news is to look for a new bag that will fir the '11 and '12 next year.

The only difference in the Apexes front section is that the 11's have the control unit for the power steering mounted up there. SO the bag needs to fit in a smaller space. I suppose heat could be an issue but I don't think so. Also you can't pack the bag like you could before, although there was always been one electrical box up there. I have had my older nose bag in my SE all year, just not very packed. No issues.

I had one in my 06, but wasn't sure with the extra stuff up front if would have issues on the 2011. Thanks for the responses
