Well I am not sure where to start on this one, I purchased a leftover 08 Apex GT in late spring and decided I really wanted an LTX . . . so I sold off a bunch of stock parts and started purchasing aftermarket goodies. In September as I was getting ready to tear into the project I tore my ACL in my right knee :o| , the Dr. advised me to have surgery and it was completed 12/22/08. From September to December I changed my mind a 100 times in regards to the sled project and ended up selling a lot of the aftermarket parts :o| Well I just started getting some parts in and will get this put back together over the next couple of weeks - here is a pic of the sled in its current status - pretty sad for a sled with 0 miles on it!!

Plans are as follows:
144 CR Racing Tunnel
144 M-10 W2 Air
144x1.75 Backcountry Track
9T Extro Drivers
Mountain Mod Seat
TJ's Tunnel Dump Exhaust
Pioneer Performance Wide Front End Kit
Curve XS Skis
Remote Start
and many more unnecessary things that I don't need, I will keep this thread updated as the parts come in and I make some progress.

Some of the parts that I just received, hopefully I will have everything by the end of next week!!!

Will update as the UPS man arrives :jump:

NICE! Looking forward to the updates. By the way, there is not a thing wrong with tearing down a brand new piece of equipment if it wasn't what you wanted off the shelf. Your full intention is to sculpt it into what you really desired. If for nothing else, you are verifying that the dealer did a good job prepping and tightening everything... right?

And a box full of powdercoat from Welterracer - still have to unpack it, stay tuned - THANKS BRIAN

That CR-racing tunnel is SWEET!!!!! Are you installing a M-10 since you got the mouting plates from CR-racing?

I had trouble deciding on a skid - at first I had a Expert X (sold it when I tore my ACL :o| ) I then considered a ZX2 and the M10 Air, I went with the M10 Air and it should be here any day! I like how his mounting plates look as well, LOL!!

Looks like you have to slot holes in the running boards for the drop brackets part of the mounting plates. Or are the holes pre-slotted from CR?

This sled will be on nice ride when done!

What is the price on the M-10 air?

Pipe for pipe is about a 14lb difference - not sure how much weight is built into the heatshield and trim pieces. Pipe cost around $330!

The tunnel is not slotted from CR, I was a little disapointed - now I have to do my best not to mess up the powdercoat :o|

144 M10 W2 Air - $2175 deliverd

...that is until you realize you'd rather have a Nytro XTX :drink: But seriously, it should be quite the machine when you're done.

Getting back to the sled - damn I hope I remember where everything goes, LOL! Not sure this was my best move - should have sold it as a brand new stock leftover - looks like I will be riding it for a while!!

You have got yourself one big EXPENSIVE pile of parts! LOL If money is your issue dont even try putting it together just sell the peices and save the labor... you wont get it out of it when your done anway. Or build it to what you want and ride it like ya stole for the next few years! Looks fun!

I considered parting it out - just could not bring myself to tear down a brand new sled and try to sell all the misc in order to buy another one. I know I will take a huge hit on it and figured I have the majority of what I need to get it put together and might as well finish what I started and ride it!! THis is my first Yammi :dunno:
