I am currently looking at the firecat skid. I know Kip is running one in his. I intend to talk to him and find out what is involved.
Licketysplit & turbo turtle have zrt suspensions in theirs. I have seen the turtles and it is a pretty easy install. You need to make 2 rear drop down brackets out of 1/8" steel plate , that mount to your existing rear 3 mounting holes. You mount the skid to a hole in these plates. The front mount moves back about 6 3/4" in the tunnel. They both have templates for this.

WHY not buy a polaris EDGE suspension... You could use the M-10 bolt pattern!!
I think the EDGE suspenion RULES!! I have ridin almost all the sleds and my persona opionion is the edges is better than the M-10!
I saw two edge suspensions go for $250 each on ebay ! They were 2002 models!

the arctic skid is the best out there in my opinion, very tunable, great weight transfer, and durable, I hope the yammi 05 mono will be as good as I have ordered one . no offense but I think the pol-cheese skid is a joke as all things pol-cheese are
I put a ZL skid in mine and really like it. I couldnt be happier with the ride, transfer and top end of this suspension. Hers some pics...BBY

I ride with two zr800s , two zr600s CC, ZL 500, two xcsp 600s with m-10 and one xcsp with edge.
ON one very nasty trail one year ago... we were all FIGHTING over the edge suspension sled... IT SUCKED up the bumps like they werent even there.. and im talking foot high bumps that are 6 inches apart..

suspension
The ones I have ridden were last year T Cats with the front shocks in also. Great ride and more top end.

I am looking into the Cat skid also could someone post drawings of mounting points. I am thinking of a 121 Cat with 136 rail extensions.

Cat skid
The front mount is 6 3/4' back and the rear is a plate that mounts to the existing 3 hole in the tunnel. The plate is fabricated from 1/8" steel plate and has a hole in it below the tunnel where you mount the rear of the skid. This gives you plenty of clearance for studding.
