I kinda like the xtx in black. Too bad for the guys who liked red.
Except for the mystery sled, I can't complain.
It's funny that it is the same guys doing the bitching every year, lol.
Makes my decision for next year harder. Either a turbo Nytro xtx or a stock Apex xtx.

Do yourself a favor stay as far away from the nytro as you can. Unless you like going in a strait line all the time. Mine was great for bumps but it cornered terribly.

And where are you going to use that Nytro in NJ when the Nytro Turbo is for high elavation use only?.And this is the first year that I have complained about anything coming out of the Yam camp, considering that I have been a Yam owner since 98 I just can't take it anymore,I understand the reliability the cost of operation the resale, but there is nothing that really stirs up any emotion in there line up.Same old same old.

Look on the Bright Side
Feeling a whole lot better about buying a 2011 Nytro XTX. With basically no changes (except skis), I don't have that "I wish I had waited feeling." Also, I should expect higher resale on my 2011 than if Yamaha had increased the power for 2012 or created a "super sled," whatever the hell that means.

The only thing they have created is a big joke and it's on us,I just love how they advertise there 2012 Apex as "New" lighter pistons, skis, and blah, blah, blah how is it "New" when this was all introduced last year as "New"

To be honest from a sales stand point I love the line up. all we heard last year from customers was EPS vector. Yamaha gave us that and we already have ppl coming in the door to put money down. Would I have liked to see a more HP, lighter sled, sure but im also realistic and know what the majority of customer base is, its not lake racers that want the fastest most of our customers want comfort reliability and good service. We will sell the same or more sleds next year and the only Bitching I will hear will be from this site....
I'm happy! This lineup doesn't make my 09 XTX look like a Dinosaur. Hell change the ski's and Graphics and I have a new sled for allot less money.

Same place I ride my Attak and our 1200. Mostly Vermont, but I have to say the snow has been good enough to play in our fields at home.
I've had good luck with the few Cat's I've had... If they have a competitive 4 stroke(at least a 3 cylinder) I will have to think hard about what to do. The mountain sled spy pics that are floating around look pretty good.
My Attak will stay around, no matter what. Love that sled.

We were out on the lake yesterday all day. There was a good 6 to 10 inches of wet heavy snow out there. the only sled that had a problem running was apex. Every other sled jumps up on the snow a goes. The apex losses 10 to 15 mph in these types of conditions. I used to think it was the attack angle but it's not it's the weight. until Yamaha drops 100 plus pounds off this sled it will continue to struggle in these kinds of conditions!!!

Roger that, and the Moutain pics of the "New" AC are sweet
What a let down...BNG and another price increase for the Nytro. I was really hoping for something new for 2012 as I am planning on buying a 2013. Bummer. EPS on the Vector will be nice though...if you like that seating position.

I seriously doubt there will be groves of people flocking to ski doo or anything else. Aside from a few nuts on this site, yamaha makes the perfect trail sled for a market dominated by trail riders.
How many people have I seen on this site say they are fed up and go to another brand only to come back to yamaha a few years later.
You want something different have at it boys.
