Has anyone had the arm that holds the spindle to ski loosen up, mine are both flopping up and down some. I don't know how they are suppose to be ,my sled has around 7,500 miles on it. my friend has an 2005 rx1 with around 3,000 miles on it and his ski fell off last weekend. has anyone had issues with these?

Are you talking about the upper and lower A-arms? If so, the bushings wear out, and the arms come loose especially where they connect to the bulkheads. Many have replaced them with Oilite bushings.

its not the a-arms, I just looked in the owners manual at a schematic and its called the steering arm. the tie rod connects to it at the spindle.

Pop the plug off the top of the spindle and clean the grease out so you can see the spindle. Should be lots of grease in there, if not you may just need to grease the spindles well. Shouldn't be anymore than a 1/4" of up and down play. Now try to move the ski and column up and down inside the spindle. You shouldn't see the splined column moving inside the steering arm, if so then tighten the bolt in the steering arm. Now there are an upper and lower bushing inside the spindle which may need replacement if there is lots of slack in there.
