Hey everyone - Had the sled teched in Saturday the 10th. Friday was sunny, low 60's, and Sat. was 46 and snowing! You believe that one!

Anyways, everything is a go, and will run the same setup I left off with in November of 2003: HH's with a green spring, and a 47 straight helix. 23/38 gearing, K&N filter setup, red Holtzman carb springs, White Knuckle Performance GP1 exhaust, and srx suspension components. No changes to the motor, (except for the NOS setup). Will be trying some more clutching, and gearing combos.

Talk to you all later!

Terry your lucky you get about 4 week head start on me. This year Everything is going to be different for me. I just got another sled, after the wreck a few weeks ago. This one has a bender turbo on it, it should be a blast.
Your useing a 15 inch wide track? I'm curious about the 10 incher because I have to bye a new one. I'm not sure if it would work with a yamaha skid. Have fun this summer.

I am running the 15 incher right now, but am switching to the 10 5/8. I have a Whal suspension, but have to modify it to accept the 10 5/8.
We will have to meet sometime, and run a few. pro116 and I, might be going to New York this year.

Gents... I'm a little under 2-weeks from running the Warrior with a CPR Turbo, 'New-Style' Wahl suspension, and HH clutching on the tar this year. My first date is May 23rd for an all day test-n-tune session. I ran a CPR-780 SRX on the tar last year and I know that the new sled is going to be a blast... :-o

I'll post as much as I can; the good, the bad, and the ugly... :4STroke:

Nos and others, the big race this year is in Syracuse, NY the weekend after the 4th of July. Get here if you can... Last year we had over 200+ entries in the bracket class and it looks like it's going to be a quick-16 this year ,last year was a quick-8. ;)!

Chat with all of you later and very soon...

Sounds great Buster! Let us know, when we should show up, and I am making plans already. WOO HOO! This is going to be a great year!

Buster - I need to know, what did you do for drivers......Aluminum? I ordered mine from Wahl, but they said the collars are behind schedule, so I had to machine the stock plastic down, and get rid of the heated spots from asphalt last year. Seems to work, and not ratchet, but I might cancel, and get my skid updated to the new track right away. PM me your number, so we can discuss some things.

TERRY, I WILL LET YOU KNOW ON MY PROGRESS THIS YEAR ALSO, AND MADE PLANS TO GO TO ESTA THIS YEAR. I WON'T BE ABLE TO GO TO THE VALLEY UNTIL APRIL 23, TRYING FOR 9.40S THIS YEAR, I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED LIKE BUSTER SAID ON THE GOOD, BAD AND ULGY.

Hi Everyone - 4/17/04 Wisconsin International Raceway. Temp was 46 degrees, with humidity about 90%. Rained in the morning on the way to the track. Track was prepped at 10:30am, and humidity dropped to 40%, with a temp of 68. (This was not a good day!)

1st, and only run - Reaction of .043
60 ft. - 1.683, 1/8 mile - 7.649 @ 86.416mph, 1/4 mile - 12.378 @ 100.813mph (Came off the line spinning, and it felt like it died 1/2 way down. Wouldn't go above 9,300 rpm's. I checked plugs, and they were pure white!) Didn't have any bigger jets along, so I stopped by pro116, to see what he had. I had 152.5's in the sled with K&N filters, w/Holtzman red springs.

4/18/04 Opening day - 44 degrees at 8am, but warmed to 72 Degrees with 82% humidity. Changed to 160 mains.

1st run - Same #$%&* !!! Reaction of 0.180
60 ft. - 1.624, 1/8 mile - 7.516 @ 87.466mph, 1/4 mile - 12.190 @ 101.794mph. (checked the plugs again, same thing!)

2nd run - Reaction of 0.146
60 ft. - 1.629, 1/8 mile - 7.616 @ 86.103mph, 1/4 mile - 12.384 @ 99.844mph. (put prefilters on to try and richin fuel mixture.)

3rd run - Dialed a 12.39, and Broke out with a 12.374 - Reaction of 0.132
60 ft. - 1.615, 1/8 mile - 7.560 @ 85.962mph, 1/4 mile - 12.374 @ 96.544mph. (Thought maybe bad gas, so I bought a gallon of 110 octane fuel from another racer, and mixed it up good. No improvement.)

All I can say is that the filters in the tank must be plugged up, or the fuel pumps are not working. This same setup ran 10.99 last year. WTF!!!! I will be ripping the fuel system down, to get to the nitty-gritty, and keep everyone informed.

SRXMAGIC - It was hooking up pretty well, and was clicking the 60ft. timer with the track, not the front skis. (about 3 inches off of the ground). But after that, it just went down to nothing, and I mean nothing. I stayed even with a guy running 9's until 100ft. after the 60ft. timer. Then they leave me sit, only running on a couple of cylinders.

Buster - I have Ryan's srx suspension stuffed in it again, until my parts and track come to run the Wahl suspension, and 10 5/8 track. Wahl is sending the items tomorrow.

I never checked the filters in the tank yet, are there any in the tank? Or is it just the screens in the carbs. Because the screens looked clean, and that would tell me the pumps are bad. Let me know guys.

I just came in from the workshop and I took the hoses off of the pumps, and blew with my mouth into the lines going to the tank, there is nothing wrong there. So it is on to the carbs and the pumps. I bet i have 1 out of the 2 bad.

J - I will call you tomorrow. I need to check compression first.
