If GM sold you a Corvette capable of say 165 mph, they had better not put H rated tires on it. If they did, and you blew them up, In the state of Maine GM would have to come good for a new set of proper tires for your Vette.

It would also mean if you bought Z rated tires that they have to hold together up to and including the speeds they are rated for.

I did not notice that you were Canadian. I now understand your position. And FYI, here in Wi we have the some of most rigid consumer protection laws in the nation, if not the most.
