I really would like to add 2" of height to my Attak seat. I have some ideas, but what have other people done aside from dropping $600 on a Boss seat?
1. Does anyone make spaces with longer bolts to raise the seat up?
2. Is is possible to put 2" of hard foam under the stock foam and then restreach the cover over?

I don't know about adding foam and stretching the cover back on. I had a buddy that owns a shop that does custom auto interiors add stiffer foam to my Vector seat and I loved it. Been thinking about doing it to my ATTAK. Call AAPG in Albany, NY 518-438-3561 and ask for Scott. Tell him Shane Mahieu sent you.

There have been a number here who have added extra foam to their seats. Just do a search. I can see getting the cover stapled back on would be a bit difficult though. I had contemplated this, but ended up just getting a Mountain Mod Seat, which is awesome.
As for a seat riser, perhaps you could fashion something that would work.

Grimm,
Any chance you could post a picture or two of what your hot rod looks like with the new seat? I am thinking about doing something with mine too.
Thanks,
Shane

Mountain mod seat works very well, comfortable, gives you a couple more inches of height as well which I quite liked. It also has a large trunk for storing whatever it is you may need with you on the trail.
I've got one for sale with roughly 500miles of use..PM me if anyone is interested. Dont have the sled anymore so the seat is useless!

- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
You can get foam in many different firmness. You can replace the existing foam which isn't that firm with a firmer one and still use the same seat keeping you up. I belive you can even add a little on top and still be able to pull the fabric around to staple. Make sure it's warm in the area your doing it. You can even soak it in hot water first so it'll strecth.
Just use a carving knive to shape it out.. Also 3M Foam Adhevsive. you can get that anywere.
