I am 6'3" and looking for information on steering risers for the Attak. Also, anyone put aftermarket seat on the Attak to raise the profile to match the steering riser.

Where can you purchase?
How difficult is installation?
How do you know how "high" to go?

Thanks.

Rox risers are the way to go. Even have some that adjust up and down, and pivot. That way you can stand and still sit without the bars feeling like ape hangers. There might be some for sale in our forum used or on the snow west site. Snow west usually has tall risers for the mountain guys which stand. You will only be able to go 3-4" taller without extedning your cables though. Good luck

I have the 3" Rox risers and I am 6'. They are about right, but I think you want a little more. So look for some mountain cables and riser.

680

what i did is use a powermadd 2" riser block under the factory one on my sled....works excellent im 6'2" so i could use another inch but this one works perfect for on off trail riding...i used the bolts from a mountain phazer ...cheap and works good

Im 6', 6" and im using the 06' yamaha riser from an apex mountain. The key is to get the 06', its an inch taller, or at least it was compared to 07' models back when I got mine. Its the perfect height for riding, and pretty good for standing, keeps you crouched and not locked out (where you want to be)

Anyways, just in my opinion, I dont like any of these pivoting risers, the bars no longer pivot around a central point, making them very awkward. You could add one and just not pivot it also.

I put a ROX 2 " pivot riser on the Attak and I love it. I wanted to get the 3.5" Pivot they sell, but I was afraid the cables would not stretch that far.

The 2" riser will fit the Attak for sure with no problems. The 3.5" is probably iffy whether it will fit without cable modifications/rerouting. If you go that route, let us know if it fits.

i did the rox 3.5-5.5 adjustable. was told it can be done without cable change. i had tors coming on intermitantly so to be safe i put in the "mountain" throttle cable ($27.00). all a simple install. i'm 6'2". love the adjustability. no complaints, can stand & ride comfortable. i added the wing nut set-up last year so no tools are required to adjust. really like this. if it's real cold or long wide open trips i drop the bars a little for comfort, takes seconds.

I want to put a 2" rox riser on me and my son's 07 RTXs, same as attak right? No need for extending cables?
;)! :yam: ;)!
Thanks.
