Well from a roll of approx. 10-20 mph got out ahead and stayed there, from stand still it was almost the same if i could get out ahead he couldn't get by and if he got out ahead some times i got by and some not. we were running approx 800-1000 feet and both showing around 110 mph on the meters.
The snow was hard a hell that was my only save i think.

So i guess i did alright, I'm think 4 studs up the middle double backers and an ulmer stage 2 kit, I'm hearing lots of good thing on here about ulmers clutching. I see u have ulmer listed do you have his clutching?
Ulmers set ups work well.

I have spanked an 03 F7 with my 06 Apex GT bone stock. However, it had 168 studs.

Attak vs 03 F7
I guess we all know the 03 F7 is no slouch. I was able to beat my buddie's 03 F7 consistantly with my 07 Attak GT. Neither one of us were studded. I always tried to race him when the snow is cold and hard. Then the sled really hooks up.
My buddy now owns my 07 Attak GT.... Guess he got tired of getting beat.
I now have a 2011 Apex XTX. I finally got around 1200 milles on it and it has finally woke up. I just raced another 03 F7 in Mich. and it was no contest. I was also able to beat my old 07 Attak GT by a long margin. The Attak was also able to beat the F7.
Again all of the racing was done on cold hard packed trails.
I agree with Bottlerocket that studs would make a huge difference, but we ride on some trails that don't allow studs. I just pick the right time to race.
