Bad Oil Leak!

This fall I went into my basement and my sled was leaking oil. I decided to remove the oil tank and inspect it because I had read about so many cracking. The oil tank was fine so I check the filter and it wasn't leaking either. After checking everything over I brought it to the dealer and they found that the oil line that goes from tank to the motor was bad so they replaced it under warranty. Last saturday I went on a 120 mile ride and when I went into the garage today there was a huge puddle under my sled. I will be bringing it back to the dealer next week. Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Are you sure it isn't a surplus of oil you had in the engine bay belly pan that could of leaked out, is your oil level down on your DIP STICK...I've never heard any bad things on these motors leaking oil except for CRACKED oil tanks...

Another thing to check for is the oil filters "O" ring, some will DOUBLE stack the ring when changing the filter leaving the old 1 on the motors block without noticing and is a ticking bomb just waiting to blow and drain all your motors oil!

Another 1 to check is the motors DRAIN plug, make sure its not CROSSED threaded or missing its WASHER that acts like a seal or just plain loose.

My Friend has a Vector which had the same problem.
He took it to the dealer and the dealer found a mouse nest at the bottom of the oil pan. The mouse urin had erroded a hole in the oil pan. Strange but true.

Not bashing it is just unreal some of the things that can cause problems that you would never expect!

To keep rodents out of your precious belongings use "BOUNCE" sheets tuck in places you don't want to see them! yes the stuff you use in your DRYER to make your close smell so nice...rodents HATE the smell of CLEANSINESS!!!

Had the same problem puddle of oil under the sled on that side.It ended up being the oil tank.I could not find the crack.The tank and the hose are the only thing down that side.

That's exactly what mine was. They replaced the tank under YES warranty.

i've heard about this a lot, is this a recall? does anyone know what the cause is
