I need a little help and you guys are great at that. The problem I have is with my thumb warmer. I have replaced my thumb warmer with a new one because of the error light was blinking three times. I looked it up and it said "thumb warmer disconected". Now it blinks four times. If I'm correct that's "thumb warmer short circut". Do I have to replace the controls on the handlebar? Is there a way of testing it?

I posted the pages from the service manual on this problem in this thread. Check them out, it should help you diagnosis the problem.

A Short is Zero Ohms using an Ohm Meter across the two wires to the warmer. An open is many thousands of Ohms. If I recall correctly, you should be reading about 5 to 10 ohms across a good warmer.
