09 Nitro XTX. 4800 miles and lower ball joints are real loose. Need to be replaced. Anyone else experience this? Seems premature. Ride mostly clean snow in upper Michigan and U.P. Tow sleds enclosed. Have not lubed joints. Should they be lubed periodically? Any comments would be appreciated.

Everyone that has a nytro has , but that's pretty good mileage on them , you can grease them and it will help some ..

Yes, very common. they changed the setup in 2010 I believe, went to a three piece design.

My 2010 has 900 more miles than your 09 and the joints feel pretty snug still. I'll be keeping a close eye on them this year.

I am running split rail skis. I wonder if the skis added to the ball joint wear?

I would be really surprised that the problem would be due to your split-Rail.
I think the common practice now is most people are getting them from yammy. They updated the part and supposed to be better. Time will tell I guess.
