I put a 3.5" rox pivot from rich motrsports. i had to get a low profile windshield and extend my cables but what a difference it made! I love my sled now!

I've installed a number of 3.5 inch articulating risers over the years with stock cables with no problems. I've had to reroute brake line and a few other cables but always worked well. Keep in mind that if you only went straight up 3.5 inches, the cables probably wouldn't work, but if you go with articulating riser, you'll also be putting bars forward at the same time thus giving you the length you need with the cables.

Re: riseras
Bump.....
If you need longer cables where do you get the cables at? Also with a apex seat is 3.5" to long or would you go with a 2" riser?

get them at a yamaha dealer order the '05 rxmountain throttle cable and all other cables will work fine. as for the hieght of the riser , depends on the hieght of the rider. i have a 3.5" rox and i am 6'1" my wife has a 2" riser and she is about 5'9".MS-310 said:Bump.....If you need longer cables where do you get the cables at? I have the extended brake cables and throttle extention kits if needed. 2" riser is no problem, 3" you may be able to reposition the cables some. If you need a riser, I have them all on sale.

I put a pivot riser on my warrior and I think it had a 3 inch block. I didn't have to extend my cables but I had to adjust them so the TORS wouldn't kick in when turning the bars hard to one side. It's almost perfect for standing for me now. A welcomed mod for off-trail ventures! Feels like a totally different sled this way. Heres a link to pictures of my mods http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=49173&highlight=[/url]
The bars and riser are a few pictures down.

- 2007 Attak - LOVE my sled!!!
I put a 4" articulating riser on mine at first.
With re-routing the cables, I was able to get it to work, but would kick in the TORS.
Had to extend the Throttle cable only.
However the 4" wasn't enough rise to be able to stand for long without my shoulders feeling like they were on fire.
Took the 4" off and put it on my EXT.
I put on a 6" articulating riser and that has worked out perfect!!!
NO shoulder burn, no matter how long you stand up. FYI I am under 6' tall.
And you will be amazed at how much rough stuff you can fly through standing up and just letting the sled rock under you.
